With Batam on lockdown due to the Covid-19 situation, 289 Fellowship of the Manger were forced to cancel their mission trips. Sarah Santhana shares how, by the grace of God, they managed to provide aid and encouragement to the villagers affected by this pandemic.

In a time such as this, it may be difficult to look beyond ourselves. Louis Leong reminds us that especially in times of crisis, we need to learn to share Christ’s love to others by going beyond empathy, making sacrifices and being humble.

B H Wong gives insight to his life as a senior in these dark days and the worries of isolation, economic downturn and staying healthy. Even still, he is assured that God will see us through these fearful days.

What is life like as a healthcare worker? Dr Gail Chua shares about the new challenges Covid-19 has brought and how spending time with her children reminds her of God’s promises, love and grace.

Renee Low from the 5pm Service shares her personal experience of being caught up in the sudden lockdown of Malaysia last month, the many hurdles that her husband and her faced, and how God was with her every step of the way.



While COVID-19 has brought with it many negative consequences, Angeline Leong from ACTS Centre shares how Psalm 46 brings her hope that God knows what He is doing as with this crisis, some positive aspects have emerged as well.

Veronica Wong recounts the shocking news she received from her doctor, her mums devastating diagnosis and how Psalm 23 – a reminder that God is always with us and our living hope – helped them through this difficult time.


In times like this, we may feel that we are all alone. Lim Keng Boon from the 7 am Service shares his struggles with the Covid-19 situation and how an unexpected gift from God changed his life.
