Worship Services
Usher
As an usher, you will be required to welcome congregational members and direct them to their seats, collect tithes and offerings with the offertory bags, welcome newcomers and distribute welcome gifts, and direct the flow of communicants during Holy Communion.
Anyone with a cheerful disposition and a willing heart to serve can be an usher. You may be rostered once or twice a month and occasionally for special services.

Welcome/Info Desk Befriender
As a befriender, you will be stationed before and/or after service to interact with newcomers and visitors, attending to enquiries and sharing with them about the church life. You will be asked to keep a lookout for newcomers and assist in building a sense of community at the service so that no one feels alone or lost in the service.
Anyone with a warm personality and a heart to connect with newcomers can consider joining the team of befrienders. You may be rostered once or twice a month.

Fellowship F&B (Food & Beverages) Team Member
As a member of the Fellowship F&B Team, you will be involved in preparing and serving refreshments to the congregation after service once a month.
Anyone with great cooking skills and willingness to serve the people can consider joining a team to serve. You may be rostered once a month.

Audio Crew
As a member of the audio crew, you will work closely with the AV staff to set up the audio system for the service in advance. You will also be asked to assist in special combined services and events in church.
Anyone with a keen interest in audio systems and a good ear for music and sound may consider joining the ministry. Training will be provided.

Visual Crew
As a member of the visual crew, you will work closely with the AV staff and service team to ensure all necessary visuals are projected in a timely and accurate fashion. You will also be asked to assist in special combined services and events in church.
Anyone with an eye for details and computer literate may consider joining the ministry. Training on the use of software will be provided.

NextGen Ministry
The NextGen Ministry brings together the Children Ministry, Youth Ministry and Young Adult Ministry with the aim of building up every child towards spiritual maturity as they grow from a toddler into adulthood.
Children Ministry
- Teacher Aide
As a teacher aide, you will assist the teacher to ensure the smooth running of the children’s programme by attendance taking, assisting in classroom management, etc. You will be called upon to assist in the planning and organising of special events (e.g. Children’s Easter Party, Vacation Bible School, etc.).
- Teacher
As a teacher, you will plan and conduct the Sunday School lesson according to the curriculum. You will work with the Sunday School Superintendent and Children Ministry Pastoral Staff to review the curriculum and plan & organise special events (e.g. Children’s Easter Party, Vacation Bible School, etc.).
Anyone with a desire to see the next generation becoming disciples passionately committed to Christ and a heart for children may consider joining this team. You will work in a team and be rostered once or twice a month together with a team to conduct the lessons.

Shalom Friends
Shalom Friends reaches out to youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Due to the nature of the ministry, Shalom Friends will cater for youths up to 25 years old.
- Teacher Aide
As a teacher aide, you will assist the teacher to ensure the smooth running of the programme by attendance taking, assisting in classroom management, and guiding the youths during lesson time.
- Teacher
As a teacher, you will plan and conduct the lesson according to the curriculum. You will work with the Superintendent to review the curriculum and plan & organise special events.
You will work in a team and be rostered once or twice a month throughout the year together with a team to conduct the lessons on Saturdays at 2pm.
Metamorphosis Facilitator
Metamorphosis (Meta for short) is a transitionary programme aimed at Sec 1s and 2s to help guide them through their transition by providing strong biblical foundations and a place to build spiritual communities.
As a facilitator, you will be involved in planning and conducting the programme with a team of facilitators, sharing experiences and biblical truths with the youths in your group.
Anyone with a desire to see the next generation becoming disciples passionately committed to Christ may consider joining this team. You will be serving on the first 3 Sunday mornings of each month from 10.45am to 12.30pm.
Missions & Local Outreach
Medical personnel for Health Screening in Cambodia/PKH
The missions team organises medical mission trips to Cambodia/PKH periodically. Any trained medical personnel are welcome to indicate your interest to be informed of such trips in the future.
Volunteers for short term mission trips
The missions team organises short term missions trips periodically. Anyone interested to keep informed or know more about the trips could indicate your interest.
Adopt a Block in the Community (ABC) Volunteers
ABC is a long-term commitment to minister to the people living in Bukit Merah, where many are low-income individuals, families and elderly.
Volunteers engage the residents through various activities; befriending them through visits and specially organised outings, and showing care through the distribution of food packs, small gifts and acts of kindness.
Anyone with a heart for the less privileged may consider joining the team of volunteers visiting and befriending the residents for a period of 6-months or 1-year.
Befriending Migrant Workers (BMW)
BMW aims to reach out to the migrant workers in our community, by sharing God’s love and blessings with the people He brings into our midst each week.
- English Teachers for weekly English lessons to Myanmar nationals
As an English Teacher, you will be teaching English in a fun and engaging way to the Myanmar nationals who have signed up for the course.
Anyone with a heart for the migrant worker community with a strong command of the language and ability to communicate English as a second language in a simple and understandable manner can consider serving in this ministry. Training will be provided. You should be able to commit to a period of 6 months and will be rostered accordingly.
- Befrienders for monthly walk-abouts around Cathedral
As a befriender, you will go in a group to areas around the Cathedral to establish contact with the Myanmar nationals with the aim of inviting them for the weekly English lessons and/or the Myanmar Worship Service on Sundays.
Anyone with a heart for the migrant worker community can consider serving in this ministry.
Worship Ministry
Vocalists/musicians
As vocalist or musician, you will serve in a music team at one or more of the contemporary worship services on Saturday 4.45pm, Sunday 9.30am and Sunday 4.30pm.
Anyone with a reasonable level of skill and able to attend the rehearsal may consider joining the worship ministry. Auditions will be conducted to assess your skills. You will be rostered accordingly.
Choir
As a choir member, you will serve at one or more of the worship services on Sunday 7.30am, 11.30am and 4.30pm.
Anyone with a reasonable level of skill in singing and able to attend the practice session regularly may consider joining the choir. Auditions will be conducted to assess your skills.
Bell ringers
The ringing of bells serves as a call to worship and to unite the body of Christ to gather in our common bond of love and service in our Lord’s name. As a bell ringer, you will be rostered to ring the Cathedral bells before service and special services.
Anyone interested should be relatively fit and have a sense of rhythm and good memory. They must be able to attend the practice session regularly.
Intercession
Member
As a member of the intercession team, you will pray regularly in small groups and once a month as a big group for the Cathedral and the nation. Prayer walking wherever the need arises.
Member Care Ministry
Member
As a member of the Member Care ministry, you will be assigned to a care team that ministers to one of the following groups: elderly, the young, the sick, married couples/children, divorced/separated, the bereaved and others.
Welcome Centre
Welcome Host
As a welcome host, you will befriend and pray (with permission) with visitors in the Cathedral Welcome Centre.
Anyone who aspires to be a channel of God’s love and blessing to the community, warm-hearted and loves to offer friendly smiles can consider to be a Welcome Host. Training will be provided.
Docent/Guide
As a docent/guide, you will engage visitors in the Nave and Welcome Centre to conduct 30 minute tours and to share the Gospel with the love of Christ.
Anyone who aspires to be a channel of God’s love and blessing to the community, warm-hearted and loves to offer friendly smiles can consider to be a docent/guide. Training will be provided.
Cathedral Women’s Fellowship
The Cathedral Women's Fellowship (CWF) brings together women in the Cathedral through various interest groups. They organise programmes and bible study groups to encourage one another to grow in the faith. They also minister to the elderly ladies who are homebound.
Flower Arrangement Team
We invite baptised Christians to join a team of ladies to make flower arrangements for Cathedral services. Each member serves once or twice a month. Training will be provided by the more experienced ladies in the team.
Sewing & Embroidery Team
You will join a team of ladies to sew items used in the services as well as clerical vestments, etc. The team meets twice a month and sewing can also be done from home if needed. Training will be provided by the more experienced ladies in the team.
Linen Team
We invite confirmed Anglicans to help upkeep and wash the linen that Cathedral uses for the services.
Caring & Sharing – Visitation
We invite ladies who are confirmed Cathedral members, preferably in their 40s to 60s, who have a heart for seniors and the homebound to join the visitation team as befrienders who seek to represent and bring our church to the homebound on Monday/Tuesday mid-mornings. For every visit, the team follows the format of worship: the singing of 2 hymns, sharing of word of encouragement, and the serving of the Holy Communion followed by praying for our visitees. Befrienders will need to travel to a designated location independently.
SAC Home Visitation Team
We invite baptized Christians to join a team of ladies for monthly visits during weekday hours to the SAC Home to conduct an engagement and outreach session with the elderly. Each visit will include singing, games, activities and partaking of Holy Communion for the residents at SAC Home located in Clementi.
Heritage Ministry
As a member of the heritage ministry, you will assist in sharing the SAC heritage through researching, writing and informing. You will also be supporting the operations through installing and maintaining knowledge implements for the 1862 building especially in and around the Nave including storyboards, markers, plaques, etc. through researching, writing and informing. Periodically, you will also support heritage-related events, visits and tours, including the Docents' Ministry.
Anyone with a keen interest in the history of the Cathedral and sharing of the information to educate others may consider joining the ministry.
Anglican Care Centre @ Bukit Batok
The Anglican Care Centre @ Bukit Batok (ACC) offers Day Rehabilitation services that facilitate persons with mental health conditions in achieving rehabilitation goals and recovery through different work units according to the members’ interest and preference.
Something Old Something New Thrift shop volunteer
Assist at the centre thrift shop during weekdays for a few hours, together with some of the centre clients who also volunteer there.
Annual Christmas party organising team
Assist in organising an annual Christmas Celebration for the centre staff and clients, involving songs, games etc, incorporating the Christmas gospel message.
