Visiting our Worship Services
We have different types of Services here in various languages. Generally, those in the Nave ( old sanctuary) are liturgical, and the ones held at the New Sanctuary (at basements 1 & 2 beneath the Welcome Center/Cathedral Cafe are modern, informal or contemporary. Look here for details of our Services, or find out what's happening this weekend. We also have facilities and Sunday School for young children. Do ask if help is needed. All our worship venues are handicap-access friendly. Again do ask for help if needed.
We serve light refreshments after most of our Services. Do have a cuppa on us and make new acquaintances. Our clergy and pastors will be available to meet you.
You can also visit The Cathedral Cafe to chill out.
Visiting our Heritage site
In view of the evolving situation of the COVID-19 Coronavirus outbreak, Cathedral guided tours have been suspended until further notice. Tours by appointments made for the month of February have been cancelled.
The Cathedral is closed on Public Holidays.
Visitors are kindly advised to take note of the Ministry of Health Advisory on precautionary measures during this Wuhan Coronavirus Outbreak. Find out more.
The doors for the Cathedral Nave are open from 9 am to 6 pm Monday to Saturday. Do note that Mid-Day Prayers are conducted from Monday to Friday, 12.30 pm to 1.00 pm (Holy Communion Service on Wednesday), please refrain from sightseeing during these times.
On Sunday the Cathedral is open for worship only.
Can we arrange for a group tour at another time?
Yes. Admission and our guided tours are free. No tickets are required. But you need to book in advance. As the Cathedral has Saturday and Sunday Services, and some Weekday Services, pre-booking ensures that the Nave is available for a visit. There are no tours on Sundays. Saturday tours are strictly by appointment and because of the many events that take place on Saturdays, a time slot is not always available.
The minimum group size is 10. Admission to St Andrew's Cathedral includes access to the Cathedral's main worship hall — the Nave — and access to restricted areas such as the Nativity Chapel & East Windows.
Visitors can meet our Guides / Docents at the Cathedral Welcome Centre / Café.
To avoid disappointment, group organisers should book visits preferably at least 2 weeks in advance and this can be arranged at firstname.lastname@example.org
How long should we plan to spend at St Andrew’s Cathedral and when is the best time to visit?
The average visit length is just over 30 minutes, but you are welcome to stay on, or enjoy refreshments at our Café. The Cathedral usually opens for tours at 9.00 am and closes at 4.30 pm (last admission 4 pm).
Can self-guided groups or tours by non-Cathedral guides visit the Cathedral?
Yes. However, you must book with email@example.com stating your name, organisation, and the size of the group you are leading. As the Nave worship hall is used for many other events, we now require prior booking to ensure that there is no over-crowding. We regret that your group may be turned away, if you have not made a prior booking.
If you have booked and have decided to cancel, please also inform us immediately.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, we may need to cancel or change the time of a booking.
