About the Speakers
Bishop Emeritus Dr Gordon Wong was consecrated as Bishop of The Methodist Church in Singapore (MCS) on 4 December 2020, succeeding Bishop Dr Chong Chin Chung. As spiritual leader, he oversees 46 churches, provides counsel to 15 Methodist schools, and supports the Methodist Welfare Services, which operates 20 community care centres and programmes.
Bishop Emeritus Dr Wong holds a BA (Hons) from the London School of Theology and a PhD from the University of Cambridge. Since 1986, he has served as Pastor-in-Charge at several Methodist churches and was President of the Trinity Annual Conference (TRAC) for 8 years. He also taught Old Testament, Hebrew, and Homiletics as the Bishop William F. Oldham Professor at Trinity Theological College for 17 years.
Married to Lai Foon with two children, Deborah and Jeremy, Bishop Emeritus Dr Wong is an author of works such as God Makes Sense, Old Testament commentaries, and the academic monograph Foolish Leaders and the Will of YHWH: Editorial Effects in Isaiah 19.
In December 2024, Bishop Emeritus Dr Gordon Wong passed on the mantle of Bishop of the Methodist Church to Bishop Philip Lim.
Scripture Union Singapore (SU-Sg), is a non-profit making Christian organization that started in 1954. A registered society since 1961 and a charity under Singapore Charities’ Act since 1990, they are part of a worldwide movement that first began in 1867 in Wales, England. Today Scripture Union is found in more than 130 countries.
They aim to make God’s Good News known to children, young people and families, and to encourage them to meet God daily through the Bible reading and prayer so that they come to personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, also to grow in Christian maturity and become committed church members and servants of a world in need. Their mission tagline is: Leading the young to know Christ, explore the Bible & grow in faith.

Registration Guide
- Please follow the instructions in the Registration Guide to register for the church camp.
Insurance
- All campers are strongly recommended to purchase your own travel insurance upon receiving the confirmation for registration to ensure coverage for any unforeseen circumstances leading up to and during camp.
Visa Application
- All campers shall be responsible for any visa application if required.
Cancellation
- Applicants must write in via email to camp@cathedral.org.sg to cancel their booking. Please kindly indicate the registration reference number in the email. Refunds for cancellation will be reviewed on a case by case basis.
Parental Consent
- For applicants who are below 21 years old, please submit the Parental Consent Form.
Information
Transportation
- You may choose to self-drive or take two-way transport by coach ($23 per pax). If you choose to take the two-way coach, please indicate in the registration portal.
- Coach’s Timing: The coach will leave church on 15 June and head back to church on 18 June. The timing will be advised nearer to the actual day. There will be no additional stops made in between.
Programme
The Church Camp features two main tracks: the Main Programme and the Children’s Programme.
The Main Programme, designed for adults and youth, will be led by our esteemed Camp Speaker, Bishop Emeritus Gordon Wong.
Concurrently, the Children’s Programme caters to children aged 3 to 12 years old, providing an engaging and age-appropriate experience. Note that children who are 3 years old must be accompanied by their parents or guardians.
Dedicated “free and easy” periods have also been scheduled, allowing campers to rest, recharge, or engage in self-organized cell group or family activities to foster bonding.
