So, what is ABC all about?
ABC stands for Adopt a Block in the Community.

ABC is a community outreach to minister to the Bukit Merah View residents, and we are excited to have this opportunity to bring Christmas cheer to the Bukit Merah View community this Christmas!

In collaboration with Lifehouse SG, Cathedral is organising two Community Outreach activities to spread God’s love to the residents of Bukit Merah View on 7 December and 14 December 2024.

What will be happening on 7 December 2024?

We will be packing and distributing 300 Christmas packs across three residential blocks where many are low- income individuals, families and elderly.

What will be in the Christmas Packs?

Christmas goodies and items which the residents have given feedback that are meaningful to them.

How can I be involved?

	FULL Prayer Warrior As a Prayer Warrior, you will cover the households in Bukit Merah with prayer. You will also be provided with prayer pointers to pray for the preparation, execution and all the volunteers from now till the community outreach. You can pray at your own time or gather in groups to pray. Venue: Self / Groups - Home
	FULL Transport As part of the Transport Team, you will provide your own vehicle to collect 30 Christmas Packs (in one vehicle) in SAC on 6 Dec 8pm, and transport them to the designated offloading point at Bukit Merah on 7 Dec at 9am. We welcome any vehicle – sedan, 7-seater, van or bigger truck (covered). Venue: from SAC to Bukit Merah Required date: 6 & 7 Dec
	FULL Befriender & Delivery As part of the Befriender Team, you will help to unload the Christmas Packs from the Transport vehicles, deliver them door-to-door to the designated households in the block, befriend the residents, bring the Christmas joy by through Christmas carols and/or a simple Christmas quiz. This role requires some preparation for the Christmas carols and familiarisation with the Christmas quiz. We will provide a small selection of Christmas carols and the Christmas quiz to help you along. As you interact with the residents, we seek your understanding to comply with the latest Do’s and Don’t’s which will be shared during the briefings. Venue: Bukit Merah Required date: 7 Dec
	FULL Packer As a Packer, you will pack designated gift items into a gift box. We need 10 Packers in 1 shift to pack 300 Christmas packs. Many hands make light work. Venue: SAC Required date: 6 Dec
