Overview
The Administrator is responsible for the efficient and seamless execution of activities and services. This role involves coordinating various aspects of event preparation, managing administrative tasks, and ensuring a positive experience for both the visitors and the congregation.

 

Responsibilities

  • Administrative Tasks:
  • Maintain accurate records of small groups, activities, and other relevant data.
  • Manage church calendars and schedules, coordinating room bookings and scheduling conflicts.
  • Handle correspondence, emails, and phone calls related to event preparations and administration.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of event-related policies and procedures.
     
  • Event Coordination and Preparation:
  • Work with Operations team to support the planning and execution of events, including wedding services, conferences, and ministry activities.

  • Coordinate with technical staff to ensure proper sound, lighting, and projection for events.
     
  • Team Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the staff team to ensure alignment with the church’s vision and mission.
  • Foster positive relationships with volunteers and staff members involved in ministry preparation.
  • Provide administrative support to service leaders and committees as needed.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategy Development & Planning

  • Develop strategies to engage target audience with the church’s overall direction
  • Engage with different stakeholder groups to understand ministry/department needs
  • Ideate, propose and develop communications plan for key events aligned to the church’s direction

Content Creation & Execution

  • Ideate, propose and develop fresh, creative content for key ministries and distribute through social media and other relevant channels
  • Conduct research and curate factual, relevant information that supports the content creation process
  • Work closely with AV and media design team to support the content creation process
  • Oversee the pre to post-production to ensure timely completion
  • Assist Head of Communications in other projects as assigned

Requirements:

  • Minimum degree in mass communications with 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role or Diploma in mass communications with 4-5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Good understanding of digital content and the social media landscape
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud Software

Overview
The Operations Manager oversees the Cathedral’s day-to-day operations and ensures the efficient and smooth functioning of all logistical and facility-related aspects. This role requires strong organisational ability, attention to detail, and a deep commitment to the Cathedral’s mission and values.

  • Facility Management:
  • Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the facilities, including building, grounds, and equipment.
  • Coordinate facility usage for various activities and events.
  • Manage facility-related contracts and vendors.
  • Develop and implement emergency preparedness plans.
     
  • Event Planning and Coordination:
  • Work with Service Coordinators and Operations team to support the planning and execution of events, including worship services, conferences, and community activities.
  • Manage event logistics, such as scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation.
     
  • Communication and Relationship Building:
  • Maintain effective communication with staff, volunteers, and congregants.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with community partners and stakeholders.
  • Represent the church in a professional and positive manner.

St Andrew’s Cathedral Home
We are a 24-bedded Home in Clementi, providing for the physical, spiritual, and emotional wellbeing of residents and underserved in the community. We are committed to provide care, support, and assistance to our residents through a wide range of activities and connect them to the wider community – families, friends, relatives, church, and neighbourhood. Join us and be part of this ministry.

 

Care Associate

  • This role will provide holistic care to female ambulant residents at the Home. This includes personal care when needed, as well as accompanying residents for medical appointments and outings. You will support and help the nursing aides to serve medications, prepare and serve meals and maintain physical upkeep of the Home. You will also notify the Supervisor and record the residents’ daily conditions and any occurring events or defects in the Home.

Requirements

  • Minimum primary school education
  • Must be able to read and understand simple English
  • Able to speak multiple dialects an advantage
  • Is caring with a strong passion to serve the elderly
  • Able to perform 2 rotating shifts including weekends and public holidays
  • Able to sleep over in the Home for at least one night per week

Caretaker Duty:

(Custodian of Church Property and Safety)

  • Ensure the gates and facilities are opened and closed on time, and that only authorised personnel and vehicles are left in the compound after closure.
  • Arming and disarming the alarm systems.
  • Keep vigilance for suspicious persons or items, especially after office hours and to report any incidents to the supervisor.
  • Contact point for staff and public on suspicious items or disruptive people, and contacting ambulance or authorities when needed.

(Cleanliness and Orderliness)

  • Responsible for keeping the sanctuaries and worship places clean and orderly.
  • Make sure that resources under their care are sufficient and kept in a good order.
  • Assist in keeping church equipment and fixtures in good condition, by reporting to Estate team for follow-up.

(Holy Sacraments)

  • Responsible for preparation of the Holy Sacraments for services and other ministry needs.
  • Maintaining the Chalices, Ciborium used for Holy Communion, and other Ornaments and Plates in good condition.

Logistics Support

  • Prepare rooms and setup for events (seminars, meetings etc) as per requirement.
  • Be on standby to provide logistical support to all ministry needs (eg communion, baptism, confirmation, ordination, weddings)

Requirements

  • Prior experience in building operations in church buildings will be an added advantage.
  • NITEC and above or relevant studies.
  • Team oriented and good interpersonal skills.
  • Required to work on weekends and to perform 10-hour shift and standby duties when necessary.

Westside Anglican Church
Westside Anglican Church is an extension centre of St Andrew's Cathedral. Together with Jurong Anglican Church (Mandarin), the church seeks to reach out to the community in the western part of Singapore and fulfil its mission of "Strengthening Families, Impacting Communities."

 

Primary Role

  • To support the Chaplain in carrying out the chaplaincy duties at St Andrew’s Mission School (SAMS)
  • Interact and build relationship with teachers, students and parents
  • To develop and implement programmes for SAMS's students jointly with the church staff team
  • Provide pastoral care for SAMS's parents

Secondary Role

  • Provide support for the running of Sunday Services
  • Involve in ministries and cell groups
  • Assist in church events such as church camp, family day, leaders' retreat and so on

Requirements

  • Preferably completed theological education but not a prerequisite
  • A Mature Christian (at least 5 years)
  • Passion for serving in the children's ministry
  • Ability to work as a team member
