Forgive Us Our Sins As We Forgive Those Who Sin Against Us

2/3 May
  • The Lord’s Prayer links receiving and extending forgiveness through the small word “as.” As you sit and reflect prayerfully on that word, what might the Lord be asking of you in this season: to forgive a debt, to confess a hardened heart, or to trust his mercy more deeply?
  • If Paul’s six-stage progression—“bitterness, wrath, anger, clamour, slander, malice”—were a journey map, which stage do you relate to most when reflecting on a specific hurt, person, or memory? What does this reveal about parts of your healing process that are still in progress?
  • Paul exhorts us, “Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” What does it mean to entrust that person into God’s hands today?
