Apply for on-location filming/photography permit
A permit is required for any type of filming, and all commercial, wedding, event, or group photography within the grounds of St Andrew’s Cathedral. This includes projects by parachurch or other church organisations.

At least 1 month before the proposed film/photography dates (2 months before is recommended). Late applications may not be processed. |

St Andrew’s Cathedral is a sacred place of Christian worship, with regular services and various activities throughout the year. It is also designated as a National Monument by the National Heritage Board in Singapore. To protect the sanctity of this space and safety for all visitors, we urge applicants to plan and scope their applications with these in mind. Each application will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Considerations
You should:
- Carry out your activities on weekdays during off-peak periods and within our operating hours.
- Limit hours, crew size, props, and equipment set-up as far as possible.
Requirements
- Dress modestly and behave appropriately.
- Minimise volume levels and inconvenience to other visitors.
Prohibitions
- The use of microphones, loudspeakers, or any form of sound amplification is not permitted.
- Any disruption of services or events that may be taking place at St Andrew’s Cathedral at the time of filming or photography is not allowed.
- Littering and smoking are strictly prohibited within our grounds.
- Confetti, sparkles or any other props that require clean-up are not allowed.
- You may not enter any of the buildings to conduct indoor filming/photography sessions. For weddings held at St Andrew’s Cathedral, all wedding photography inside the Nave is not allowed except for the wedding couple getting married on the day itself.
We reserve the right to stop filming and/or photography at any time if the rules and conditions of the permit were not followed, or for any other grounds the session was deemed disruptive or inappropriate by church staff.
